Image Comics’ December solicits were released today… and next to the upcoming comics for November, they make a deliciously stellar lineup. Color me excited. Movies, television—say again? I’ll be reading comics.
Not only are there collected editions coming for FM favorites MINIATURE JESUS, MORNING GLORIES, SEX, HAPPY!, and MULTIPLE WARHEADS, but the Image slate of new Sci-Fi and horror projects includes androids, aliens, ghosts, and everyone’s favorite Christmas demon, the Krampus. Check out these solicits for upcoming #1 issues and tell me your nose won’t be glued to the shop window every week.

WHAT THEY SAY: Grant McKay, former member of The Anarchistic Order of Scientists, has finally done the impossible: He has deciphered Black Science and punched through the barriers of reality. But what lies beyond the veil is not epiphany, but chaos. Now Grant and his team are lost, living ghosts shipwrecked on an infinite ocean of alien worlds, barreling through the long-forgotten, ancient, and unimaginable dark realms. The only way is forward. The only question is how far are they willing to go, and how much can they endure, to get home again? Join writer RICK REMENDER and the superstar art team of MATTEO SCALERA & DEAN WHITE for this face-melting science fiction epic spanning the lifetimes of a cast of dimensional castaways lead by the man who caused it all.
WHAT WE SAY: Wormholes, anyone? Even without the description, the cover of this one would be enough to sell me. Is that an alien head being used as a puppet? With energy coming out of it? And some kind of female fish-person? Given that these are the same artists who will be on the book’s interiors, I think it’s safe to say the visual will blow my mind. And Rick Remender, well. Read CAPTAIN AMERICA lately? This guy is no stranger to face-melting Sci-Fi. I will follow him through the barriers of reality for sure.
