There’s probably no greater gateway into the sci-fi and horror genres than entering THE TWILIGHT ZONE, a series that, for 5 seasons, revolutionized and legitimized the genres (and irretrievably changed our lives ). 54 years after THE TWILIGHT ZONE first entered our hearts and our black and white TV sets, it’s still just as accessible and easy to get lost in or, really, found in Rod Serling’s brilliant anthology show. A show that appeals to every demographic, and is as timeless as Martin Sloan in “The Walking Distance” or any of the other time travel hijinx found in the Twilight Zone.

Image Entertainment and RLJ Entertainment have been systematically releasing THE TWILIGHT ZONE in bite-size, economical, season-by-season chunks, but now, the entire original run of the show, featuring visionary talents like Rod Serling, Charles Beaumont, Richard Matheson, and Ray Bradbury at the type writer, can be yours. All 4,524 minutes of mystery, intrigue, strange, and terror arrives on November 19th. It’s a fantastic holiday gift, whether you’re getting it for your obsessed father or grandfather, or want to open up Pandora’s box of genre (and awesome) for a young Monster Kid. More than likely, Rod Serling will inspire him or her like he has for untold others for generations (and more to come), as he was shaped by the pulps of his childhood.

There are several TWILIGHT ZONE avenues on DVD and Blu-Ray, complete with audio commentaries and discussions with Rod Serling, but this set is for those who like their burgers plain and their cocktails simple (beer) and just want the episodes. Not only do you save money, but that enables you to spend the remainder on other TWILIGHT ZONE goodies. This set, with a crystal clear and glorious B&W transfer, is like holding treasure in your hands, or grasping tangible magic, as its positively bursting with talent, from Art Carney, Burgess Meredith, Cliff Robertson, Dennis Hopper, Bill Bixby, Leonard Nimoy, Burt Reynolds, Don Rickles, Jack Klugman, Robert Redford, Lee Marvin, Martin Landau, Telly Savalas, and William Shatner. Everyone has their personal favorite TWILIGHT ZONE episode (mine is “Nick of Time” or “Living Doll”), and discussions about which one is best can prove as enduring as Talky Tina herself. But now you don’t have to choose. They can all be yours!

The entire set is available on Amazon for $118.99. With Black Friday fast approaching, prices are only going to get better.
