J.J. Abrams’ STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is moving full steam ahead for 2015, with Michael Arndt working on the screenplay. Obviously, there’s been an insane amount of chatter and speculation about who, if any, of the original stars would return for the next trilogy.
Carrie Fisher was asked if she’ll be back for Episode VII, and responded with the first solid affirmative we’ve yet heard. A simple, blunt, “Yes.” Cue massive amounts of commentary and more rumors. Personally, I’m bummed because this is only days after she had to cancel at Emerald City Comicon. If she had made the confirmation then and there, I would have been there to see it!
Expect a bigger announcement shortly, but it seems like Princess Leia is back folks.
