Am I the only one worried that UNDER THE DOME is set to premiere on June 24th, but, until now, nobody had been cast? I guess my worries are assuaged with the news that WE BOUGHT A ZOO’s Colin Ford has joined the show. Nope, not really. I’m assuming he’ll play Scarecrow Joe, but no word yet on his official role in the show.
This project has a lot going for it, however. It’s adapted from Stephen King, who’s involved in its production, Neils Arden Oplev is directing the pilot. He directed the Swedish/original version of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. Brian K. Vaughan is in charge, and he’s done work on LOST and made my childhood happier with Y: THE LAST MAN. On June 24th, we will see how CBS cobbles this all together. Colin Ford is the first piece in the puzzle.
