Frank Darabont, the man behind THE WALKING DEAD and SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, is getting a pass at the script for Gareth Edwards’ GODZILLA reboot!
The script was originally penned by Max Borenstein, with drafts and revisions by Drew Pearce, David S. Goyer, and Dave Callaham. This news comes on the heels of news that Legendary Pictures is looking to drop producers Dan Lin and Roy Lee from the picture, in what has become a toxic relationship that may end in court. That’s not all.. Ain’t It Cool News brings word of when and where production will start for the behemoth of a movie will start.
The exact date production starts is March 14th and filming will take place in Vancouver and Hawaii. Locals might want to be on the lookout for giant footprints, destroyed building, mobs of running Japanese businessmen and signs using Godzilla’s working title “Nautilus.”
GODZILLA is set for a March 16th, 2014.
