Dylan McDermott Returns to “American Horror Story: Asylum”

AHS: Asylum

It’s being reported that an actor from AMERICAN HORROR STORY will be returning for the second season of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology on FX. But, even as the show starts back up (ASYLUM premiered last night), there is still casting news about the show that keeps growing. It’s determined to have the most casting updates of any show, ever. Dylan McDermott, one of the leads from last year, has signed on to return to the wacky show. This season, the action now takes place at Briarcliff Manor, an insane asylum with a past, present, and future that are surely all kinds of haunted. There’s no details on how many episodes he’ll appear in, or when in the season he’ll make his first appearance, but this probably means more nakedness has been added to the show.

He joins Frances Conroy, Zachary Quinto, Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson as returning members of the cast, and Eric Stonestreet will also be rejoining. The show also stars Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Clea DuVall, Chloe Sevigny, Adam Levine, James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, Franka Potente, Mark Consuelos, and Lizzie Brochere.

Will Connie Britton and Taissa Farmiga be far behind? Britton’s got NASHVILLE, but come on! AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM airs every Wednesday at 10 PM on FX, and as we learn about the details of McDermott’s return, we’ll have them for you.
