Bryan Singer has tweeted the addition of three more mutants/castmates to the massive ensemble in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
Ellen Page will reprise her role as Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, Shawn Ashmore returns as Iceman/Bobby Drake, and Anna Paquin returns as Rogue/Marie. All three have grown in stature since their original roles, with Paquin ruling Bon Temps as Sookie Stackhouse, Ashmore on THE FOLLOWING, and Ellen Page blowing up with JUNO, WHIP IT, INCEPTION, and SUPER.
The trio join the already confirmed Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Hugh Jackman in the roster. The biggest news of the addition is obviously Ellen Page’s return as Kitty, who plays a massive role in the original “Days of Future Past” storyline by Chris Claremont and John Byrne in the comics.
We’ll see who else gets added to the mix. The film opens July 18th, 2014.
