Hugh Jackman Officially Joins “X-Men: Days of Future Past”

Bryan Singer, the director of the upcoming film X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, has confirmed that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine in the film.

Here’s the tweet:

“I would officially like to welcome @RealHughJackman to the cast of #Xmen Days of Future Past. Very excited! More to come…”

This seemed like a no brainer, considering how Wolverine-heavy the original Chris Claremont story is. We’ll see if they twist it to feature Magneto and Xavier more, who carried X-MEN: THE FIRST CLASS.

Hugh Jackman’s THE WOLVERINE opens July 26th, 2013, and he’ll pop again July 18th, 2014, for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, proving himself just as ubiquitous as the comic book character upon which he’s based. He joins James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart in the sequel.
