MANIAC, a horror film starring Elijah Wood as a psycho killer, now has an international trailer. I’ve coupled it with a red band trailer below. The film also stars Nora Arnezeder (SAFE HOUSE), and comes from a script by Alexandre Aja (THE HILLS HAVE EYES, PIRANHA, the upcoming HORNS) and Gregory Levasseur. MANIAC, a remake of the 1980 film, is directed by P2′s Franck Khalfoun (is it creepy that the killer has essentially the same name?). Read the synopsis below.
Synopsis:
Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt.Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.
