Electricians of the world have been waiting for a role model, a hero… and now they have found one in Max Dillon AKA Electro, the villain in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, played by Jamie Foxx.
Foxx got to talking and discussed his character’s origins: “[He's a] genius electrician-type person…and he gets the short end of the stick from the whole world… [T]he next thing you know, he turns it on.“
I love Foxx’s addition to the cast, but part of me think that his talent is wasted on a character like Electro. I have no doubt that he’ll make him great, but there are so many other more notable characters I’d rather see him play.
Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, and Dane DeHaan all join Jamie Foxx in the sequel, which is slated for a May 2nd, 2014, release.
