It’s that time of week when we get silly JUSTICE LEAGUE rumors with little to no (or possibly big ole) teeth. The same website (Latino Review) that said the villain in JUSTICE LEAGUE will be Darkseid now posits that Will Beall’s script is based upon three specific issues of the comic book, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA. Those issues would be #183-185, a Darkseid storyline that featured the JLA AND the Justice Society of America from Earth-2. The issues were written by Gerry Conway and the art came from the legendary George Perez. Anyhow, we don’t even know if the villain really is Darkseid, though I tend to believe it, since I don’t think there are much better options (Gorilla Grodd! Despero!), without digging into Superman, Batman or Green Lantern’s rogues gallery.
Apparently, Christopher Nolan refusing to say anything about JUSTICE LEAGUE that qualifies as news. When asked whether Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to take the Batman mantle to the film, this was his response, the illuminating quote you’ve been dying to see:
“I can’t talk about that…You know that.“ Apparently he said so with a “Cheshire smile.” REALLY?! You know what that means…
Will Beall is writing the script and JUSTICE LEAGUE is still on track for a 2015 release, when it’ll tackle STAR WARS for being the biggest movie of the year. STAR WARS will win.
