The next Abrams show, HUMAN, keeps getting better and better, even with such a lame title. The show follows a human cop paired with an android cop and is set in a near future. That human will be STAR TREK and DREDD’s Karl Urban, reuniting with Abrams.
He will be playing John Kennex (insert Kleenex joke here) opposite Michael Ealy’s Dorian, the android. The rounded out cast also includes Minka Kelly, Mackenzie Crook, Michael Irby, and Lili Taylor. With a solid cast and FRINGE’s J.H. Wyman teamed up with J.J. Abrams, I can’t help but be pretty psyched for this pilot.
Urban can be seen in STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS this May, and in RIDDICK in September. It’s shaping up to be a big year for the actor.
