Mark Waters To Direct “Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters”

Mark Waters has been brought on to direct the adaptation of Richelle Mead’s popular book series, VAMPIRE ACADEMY. The first film will be titled VAMPIRE ACADEMY: BLOOD SISTERS and will star Zoey Deutch (as the main character Rose), Lucy Fry (as Princess Leia Lissa), and Danila Kozlovski (Dmitri).

Mark Waters is known for directing FREAKY FRIDAY, MEAN GIRLS, GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST, and MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS. VAMPIRE ACADEMY is another one of the YA supernatural romances that are selling like hotcakes. The property has been around since 2010, and I expect we’ll be hearing about release dates and further casting updates on the project soon now that Waters onboard.
