Michael Arndt Is Writer for “Star Wars: Episode VII”

It’s official, folks. The man who wrote LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE (and won an Oscar for it), TOY STORY 3 (which won an Oscar for best picture), the upcoming OBLIVION, and THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE, is the man who will be writing the screenplay for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. That man is Michael Arndt, who’s Hollywood star power just exploded across the galaxy.

The movie is slated for a 2015 release, and it’s been speculated endlessly whether or not Hamill, Fisher, and Ford will return to the parts that made them famous. Prepare for a few more months of that.

Also, we know the names of three directors that WON’T be directing the film. They are: Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, and Zack Snyder.
