The all important role of Dale “Barbie” Barbara in Stephen King’s UNDER THE DOME has been filled, by one Mike Vogel. The man has been on THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, GROUNDED FOR LIFE, CLOVERFIELD, BLUE VALENTINE, THE HELP, PAN AM, and the upcoming BATES MOTEL. Vogel is probably the most recognizable of the group assembled so far, as CBS is going with a lot of relative unknowns.
The show debuts June 24, with Brian K. Vaughan (LOST and Y: THE LAST MAN) in the cockpit, shepherding a cast that includes Mike Vogel, Colin Ford, Aisha Hinds, Alex Koch, Natalie Martinez, Jolene Purdy, Britt Robertson, and Nicholas Strong. Neils Arden Oplev is directing the pilot.
