Step on up, Scott Gimple. You are now the showrunner for THE WALKING DEAD.
Scott Gimple, an executive producer for THE WALKING DEAD since the second season, is now in the captain’s chair for AMC’s zombie show. The showrunner position, much like the Defense Against the Dark Arts job, has had a new man in charge practically every season. Frank Darabont brought the show to glorious life, and then, after complications with the mercurial network, he left, and Glen Mazzara stabilized things. Now, Scott Gimple will see how long he can stay in charge. Gimple has worked on LIFE, FLASHFORWARD and the brilliant children’s show PEPPER ANN. Showrunners on TWD are proving just as unsafe as the people on the show itself, but I wish him well.
Speaking of, you know, the SHOW, we have a promo for the second half of season 3. The new episodes begin February 10th, when all becomes better in the world again.
