We have seven months until PACIFIC RIM even hits theaters, but Legendary Pictures isn’t waiting. They’re getting going on a sequel… right NOW. Wow.
Travis Beacham has been hired to write the sequel, who’s known for CLASH OF THE TITANS, and Guillermo Del Toro will be advising, though we have no idea if he’ll be around to direct again. I’d guess no because he’ll be doing CRIMSON PEAK and has a lot of other things on his plate. Whatever the case, Legendary Pictures ain’t gonna hit the pause button.
PACIFIC RIM stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, and Max Martini, and opens July 12th, 2013.
