Ross Katz is set to direct THE UNHOLY, a supernatural thriller that has already enticed Joseph Fiennes and Morena Baccarin to star. Katz has directed the TV movie TAKING CHANCE and is working on THE AMATEUR AMERICAN, but is also known for his work as a producer, with such titles as LOST IN TRANSLATION and MARIE ANTOINETTE on his resume.

Inspired by actual scientific research that suggests evil may live within our very own genetic code, The Unholy follows a group of cutting-edge scientists who believe they can link evil to a specific human gene. When they are recruited by the Vatican to spearhead a new global initiative to examine candidates for official exorcisms, supernatural forces threaten both faith and science in a battle of good versus evil.
The script is written by E.L. Katz but from the minds of REC’s Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza.
