Safety not guaranteed would be an apt slogan for any of the JURASSIC PARK films, and now director Colin Trevorrow (the man who made SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED an indie sensation), is getting a shot at directing the newest JURASSIC PARK. That’d be the fourth one, if you’ve lost count.
I loved SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, so I’m psyched with the hire, even if I don’t really love the idea of dipping back into the Jurassic well. I suppose it was inevitable, so I appreciate that they at least went with a guy who has a unique vision and a sense of humor.
The film is scripted by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, who have been adding projects to the resume like crazy ever since they first teamed up for RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.
JURASSIC PARK is aiming for a June 13th, 2014, release date.
