Shawn Levy (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) had been in talks to direct FOX’s FRANKENSTEIN, but that is no more. There is no solid reason given to us, but I’d wager that it’s Levy’s busy schedule rather than any sort of friction between the studio and Levy. That or the rumored budget constraints.
The replacement looks to be Paul McGuigan, who directed PUSH and LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN. The reimagining of Mary Shelley’s FRANKENSTEIN is written by Chronicle’s Max Landis.
