NBC and Bob Greenblatt have been all over the TV news of late, talking about their resurgent network. While Bryan Fuller’s MOCKINGBIRD LANE has certainly fizzled and is no more (thank heavens), that doesn’t end the possibility of another jaunt in the sun for THE MUNSTERS. Take a look at what the head of NBC had to say about MOCKINGBIRD LANE and the future of the classic characters:
“We just decided that it didn’t hold together well enough to yield a series. It looked beautiful and original and creative, but it just all ultimately didn’t come together…it just didn’t ultimately creatively all work…I won’t say we won’t do another version of The Munsters again.”
I doubt we hear more about THE MUNSTERS for a while.
