Prepare yourself for another comic book adaptation. This time it’s a Dark Horse comic book entitled THE STRANGE CASE OF MR. HYDE, from the creative team of Cole Haddon and M.S. Corley.
The comic took place five years after Mr. Hyde’s initial murders, with a string of prostitute killings taking place in London. Inspector Thomas Adye of Scotland Yard believes that the killer is using the same serum that created Mr. Hyde, so he turns to Dr. Jekyll for help with the investigation. Of course, Mr. Hyde isn’t completely eradicated from the good/bad doctor. Basically, it sounds like DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE meets Jack the Ripper or FROM HELL. It’s obviously based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s master work.
Albert Torres (who wrote HENRY POOL IS HERE and an AKIRA screenplay) is on to re-write the script. More as it comes!
