The Weinstein Company has just unveiled the first trailer for their animated flick ESCAPE FROM PLANET EARTH, which features the voice talents of Brendan Fraser, Rob Corddry, Jessica Alba, James Gandolfini, and Sarah Jessica Parker. A good mixture of love and hate, there. The film follows BASA astronaut Scorch Supernova (Fraser), the greatest hero in the universe apparently, who falls into the trap of Gandolfini’s Shanker (prison joke?). From there, it’s up to Scorch’s lame brother Gary (Corddry) to do the saving this time around.
The film also includes Jane Lynch, Paul Reubens, and Craig Robinson and opens February 14th, 2013. This makes it the perfect choice for Valentine’s Day viewing for all the 7 year old couples in the land. The film is directed by Cal Brunker, who cut his teeth on HORTON HEARS A WHO and DESPICABLE ME, among others.
