Something tells me that even Twilight fans aren’t going to be too enthused with news. Oh, who am I kidding, they’ll lap it up.
Many horror sites were excited for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART TWO. Why? Because then it’d be over and done with, and we could move on. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look very lightly. There were rumors of a TWILIGHT reboot that surfaced from Bloody Disgusting months back, and then there was a whole lot of nothing on the subject. We thought this was good news. We were wrong.
Here’s the report: ”Details are slim, but apparently Bloody Disgusting’s earlier sources that some sort of ‘reboot’ of the series was in development were on the money. My contact tells me that they’ve heard everything from a “TV show or film spin-off,” merely set in the same world as the one in the movies but not featuring the main trio, is being seriously considered” with ‘The Wolf Pack,’ one area of interest.”
This sounds more like it’d be a sequel, or a prequel, or just more movies set in the world, but at least we wouldn’t have to see Bella, Edward, and Jacob as different actors replaying the same soap opera again. I think we’re all grateful for that, and I’m pretty sure it’s a smart move for Summit to avoid that, especially so soon. Maybe in 2018. I’m not sure how popular these movies would be without Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, but it looks like we may find out.
