Uh Oh. “Carrie” Remake Delayed To October

In the realm of horror remakes, where many are attacked and hated from day one, I get the sense that most die hard fans are at least intrigued by CARRIE, the re-imagining of Stephen King’s classic novel and film adaptation starring Sissy Spacek. After all, the role of Carrie was cast with Chloe Grace Moretz, and also has a solid supporting cast that included Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, and Gabriella Wilde.

Kimberly Peirce film was set for a March 15th release, but that is no more. Now the film is set to bow October 18th, over seven months later than originally intended. There is no reason given for the move at this time. Perhaps it’s just to take advantage of Halloween, or perhaps something is wrong necessitating the long delay. I’m sure we’ll get a nice and processed answer from the studio (Sony) soon.
