This movie will either be a delightfully unique take on zombie canon, or a schmaltzy TWILIGHT with brain-eaters dud. Due to the talent involved (i.e. Nicholas Hoult, Dave Franco, John Malkovich, Rob Corddry, Teresa Palmer and Cory Hardrict), I’m leaning toward the former.
The film opens February 1st, 2013, and we have five new posters displaying the over the top “wit” that they’ve been going for in the film’s ad campaign. I would’ve gone with “He May Be Dead Inside, But He Still Wants To Get Inside” or “Necrophilia = Love” or “My brain is, and always will be, yours” (SENSE & SENSIBILITY, son) or “I’m just a zombie, leering in front of a girl, [insert zombie noise here] at her to love him”… but that’s why I don’t get jobs like that.
