Horror is a genre that lends itself well to the anthology format, which seems to be making quite a resurgence. TALES FROM THE CRYPT and CREEPSHOW are classics, but now we’ve got Asian horror (THREE EXTREMES), found footage horror (V/H/S), and Halloween-themed horror (TRICK ‘R TREAT). A truly extreme example is about to hit theaters and on demand early next year: THE ABCs OF DEATH, in which twenty-six directors take the twenty-six letters of the alphabet and spin each one into a short tale about—you guessed it—death. The talent comes from all over the world, featuring the helmers of HITMAN, TOKYO GORE POLICE, A SERBIAN FILM, HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, DEADGIRL, VERSUS, and countless others.
Magnolia Pictures has just released a Red Band trailer for the film. Sure looks promising to me!
