JUSTICE LEAGUE is still surrounded in mystery, and not really the good kind, at this point. The script is being written by GANGSTER SQUAD’s Will Beall and the roster is said to include Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. Will there be solo adventures before/after? Will it be in the same continuity as DARK KNIGHT, GREEN LANTERN, and MAN OF STEEL? Will as many people care as did for THE AVENGERS? Questions abound, but perhaps another has been answered: Who will they be fighting?
This is pure rumor mill crud, but it’s been said that Darkseid is the villain in the film. Darkseid is one of the more notorious villains of the DCU, as one of the most powerful of the New Gods. He’s been portrayed in SMALLVILLE, but I’m assuming they’ll go a different/better route. There’s plenty of time for this to be debunked though, as the film is won’t be released until 2015.
