Do Not Enter Trailer Unleashes Urban Exploration Terror

The official trailer for Do Not Enter has arrived, and it promises to drag viewers into the darkest corners of urban exploration gone wrong. Based on David Morrell’s 2005 novel Creepers, this supernatural thriller follows a group of thrill-seeking urban explorers who bite off more than they can chew.

Do Not Enter centers on a team of livestreaming urban explorers known as the Creepers. Their latest adventure takes them to New Jersey’s notorious Paragon Hotel, where they’re hunting for a legendary gangster’s missing $300 million fortune. What starts as a treasure hunt quickly spirals into a nightmare when they encounter both hostile rivals and supernatural forces that have claimed the abandoned building as their domain.

a director’s decade-long vision

Marc Klasfeld makes his feature directorial debut with Do Not Enter after establishing himself in the music video world, working with artists like Eminem, Katy Perry, and Slipknot. “I have waited decades to find the right feature film project to which I could truly dedicate myself,” Klasfeld explained.

The project represents a decade of development for Suretone Pictures, with Chairman and CEO Jordan Schur noting they’ve “arrived at our destination with a powerful script adapted from a timeless book and a gifted director leading the charge.”

star-studded cast meets horror legend

The film brings together an impressive ensemble cast including Adeline Rudolph (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Nicholas Hamilton (IT), Francesca Reale (“Stranger Things”), Jake Manley (“The Order”), and Kai Caster (“Yellowstone”).

The real treat for horror fans? Javier Botet joins the cast. The Spanish actor has become a legend in the genre, bringing his distinctive physicality to creatures in films like [REC], The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and IT. His presence alone suggests the supernatural entities in Do Not Enter will be genuinely terrifying.

found footage meets traditional thriller

The screenplay, penned by Stephen Susco (The Grudge, Texas Chainsaw), Spencer Mandel, and Dikega Hadnot, blends found-footage horror elements with traditional thriller components. This hybrid approach could offer the best of both worlds—the immediacy and intimacy of found footage with the polished cinematography of conventional filmmaking.

what the trailer reveals

The newly released trailer hints at claustrophobic terror within the abandoned hotel’s corridors. Urban exploration enthusiasts will recognize the authentic feel of creeping through forgotten spaces, but the supernatural elements promise to elevate this beyond typical “explorers in trouble” fare.

Lionsgate’s Executive Vice President of Acquisitions Eda Kowan expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating the studio is “excited to work with Jordan and the team at Suretone along with Marc Klasfeld to bring this supernatural adventure thriller to audiences everywhere.”

looking ahead

While Do Not Enter doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date, Lionsgate and Suretone Pictures are bringing it to audiences soon. For horror fans who’ve been craving fresh takes on supernatural terror, this adaptation of David Morrell’s work could deliver the chills they’re seeking.

The combination of urban exploration thrills, supernatural horror, and Javier Botet’s creature work suggests Do Not Enter has the ingredients to become a standout entry in the crowded horror landscape. Whether you’re drawn to the found-footage elements, the supernatural creatures, or simply the promise of a good scare, this one’s worth keeping on your radar.
