We asked and you let us know! To celebrate February, the Seventh Annual Women in Horror Month, we ran a Final Girl bracket, letting you vote each week for your favorite, until last week we pitted the winners against each other. We compiled the votes from our Facebook page and our Twitter account and while it was a bloody contest, one woman did triumph as the ULTIMATE FINAL GIRL, towering above the others (or perhaps cowering, after her terrors).

Beating out such favorites as A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET’s Heather Langenkamp, SCREAM’s Neve Campbell, and FRIDAY THE 13TH’s Adrienne King, your Top 3, in ascending order, are:

#3: Sigourney Weaver as warrant officer Ellen Ripley, who survived countless ALIEN attacks.

#2: Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode in the HALLOWEEN series, Elizabeth Solley in THE FOG, Kim in PROM NIGHT, Alana in TERROR TRAIN, etc.

And your favorite Final Girl is…

drumroll, please…

#1: Marilyn Burns as Sally Hardesty in THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE.

Personally, we love Marilyn and agree that her Sally went through the most effed up experience of all, but this came as a bit of a surprise to us as the other two have survived actual series of horrors. But you have spoken and lucky Bri Cummings is receiving a Silver Scream Fest poster as a thank-you for her vote!

If you disagree with the results, sound off in the comments, head over to our FB page, or Tweet us! We want to hear from you!
