Review by Caroline Stephenson.
NECA’s series 7 ALIEN set includes long-awaited . The set also includes the long-awaited “Big Chap” Alien, which was modeled after H.R. Giger’s original design for the 1979 ALIEN. All three figures are beautifully sculpted and would be a great addition to any collection. Grab your set at ToyWiz.com.

…the concept Alien wasn’t was Giger intended (see his concept drawings for that), but one of Ridley Scott’s original ideas about how the creature should look. It was also going to have maggots inside the dome, and the internal organs were going to be visible from the outside. When that didn’t work the same suit was done in black. Also, I think you’re confusing the AVP aliens with Giger’s design. Those are for very different movies with different people behind it. Giger wasn’t involved in AVP at all and there’s no real difference between the translucent suit and the final suit from Alien other than the color and that’s why NECA could reuse the molds from the Big Chap they did before.
You are right about the translucence being Ridley Scott’s idea. I misspoke. I had never heard about there possibly being maggots in the dome. That would have been really horrifying! Not that it needed to be more horrifying.
